Try measuring your carbon footprint.

Your carbon footprint as defined by is
:the amount of carbon dioxide or other carbon compounds emitted into the atmosphere by the activities of an individual, company, country, etc.
:a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by a single endeavour or by a company, household, or individual through day-to-day activities over a given period.

One of the coolest tools the internet has the ability to determine your own carbon footprint using online calculators.

Anyone can enter their household, travel, and eating habits to guesstimate the impact their daily actions have on the planet.

Here are few I tried and liked:

This one was completely different than the others I tried, and seemed a bit skewed. I do think it does a much better job of showing all the different things you can do on a regular basis.

This one by tells you how many earths we would need if everyone lived the way you do.

This one is fun for kids!
Only downside is when the travel question pops up, it’s based in the UK.

This one, by Eco Guru is great! It also tells you how many earths we would need if everyone lived the way you do, and it compares your results to the averages in different parts of the world. It also has additional tabs to show and tell you how to green your lifestyle now that you know what your footprint is.

Try one, try them all! Let me know how you did, and what you plan to change now that you know you can.

-Enjoy the ride.
