Don’t burn bridges before you build them

Time for a don’t try…

Don’t burn bridges before you build them.

Everyone knows everyone.
(Truth.)

Think about your family and friends – all of them.
Where do they live?
What do they do?
How well do they know you?

Mine live in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Australia, Arizona, B.C. …
They know about me, my life, my jobs, my schooling, my relationships…
That’s a network.

I also have friends and family who know of those other friends and extended family members.
That’s a network.

Think about your status updates, pinned photos and tweets.
That’s a network – whether you know all your followers, and still keep in touch will all your friends or not.

Think about your jobs and volunteer work.
Between both, I’ve crossed paths, worked with, connected with and communicated with thousands of people.
That’s a network.

Do not be the stain.
Stains are annoying, yet easily removed and the chance to build that bridge, extend it, or tack on a Salisbury house will no longer exist.
(Truth.)

-Enjoy the ride.
